AHA Training & Education

The Training & Education Department of Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas is pleased to offer several AHA courses to the general public.

Please note that classes are not scheduled in advance. Courses are organized on demand once we receive a request for a group of five or more people. To request a session or join a waiting list, please call the Highpoint Health Training and Education Department at 615.328.3831.  

Course Offerings & Fees 

AHA does not profit from course fees.

• Family and Friends CPR: $50.00 - Recommended for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life. An American heart Association completion certificate is awarded upon completion of this course.

• Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED: $70.00 - Recommended for people with little or no medical training that need a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

• Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, CPR, AED: $70.00 - Recommended for people who are not healthcare professionals but are involved in childcare and have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries until professional help arrives. Includes childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc. Upon completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers: $50 – In-facility hospital providers, prehospital providers such as EMT’s, paramedics, fire fighters. Upon completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
