Cherie Williams

Cherie Williams will be the guest speaker at this year’s event and will share her powerful and personal story. Cherie is an Associate Professor of Communications at Motlow State Community College, where she has taught since 1990. She is passionate about helping students find their voices through public speaking and enjoys leading women's Bible studies in her home and church. She also shares daily devotional messages to encourage family and friends. Cherie treasures her husband, Darrel, her daughters Katy, Beth, and Abbie, son-in-law Jared, grandchildren Roman and Millie Rose, and her many dear friends.

In December 2025, Cherie was diagnosed with breast cancer and began treatment with Tennessee Oncology. Since then, she has undergone chemotherapy and surgery and is preparing for radiation treatment. While she would not have chosen this journey, she says it has connected her to a sisterhood that has supported her physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. Through the love of family and friends and the compassion of her medical team, Cherie has found moments of sweetness amid the challenges. By sharing her story, she hopes to encourage other women facing similar circumstances.
