Chief Executive Officer

Adam Martin was named the chief executive officer (CEO) of Highpoint Health - Winchester/Sewanee with Ascension Saint Thomas in August 2022. Adam joined Highpoint Health from Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg where he served as CEO since March 2019. Prior to serving as CEO at STRHS – Lawrenceburg, Adam served as chief operating officer (COO) at Wythe County Community Hospital, another LifePoint Health facility in Wytheville, Virginia. A seasoned healthcare administrator with significant operational experience, Martin has served in diverse leadership roles, including as chief financial officer (CFO) and chief staffing officer (CSO) at Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana, and assistant controller at University Medical Center in Lebanon, Tennessee.  Adam holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with a Healthcare Administration emphasis, from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri.  

Chief Operating Officer

Greg joined Highpoint Health from Georgetown Community Hospital and Bluegrass Community Hospital in Kentucky where he served as Assistant Administrator and Ethics and Compliance Officer.

As Assistant Administrator of Georgetown Community Hospital and Bluegrass Community Hospital, Greg assisted with daily operations, lead the Ethics and Compliance program, and supported significant operational improvements through more streamlined processes and procedures.

Prior to his role at Georgetown Community Hospital and Bluegrass Community Hospital, Greg spent time as Market Director of Physician Services at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg/Pulaski in Lawrenceburg and Pulaski, TN; Patient Access Director at Parallon/HCA in Nashville, TN; and Patient Access Manager/Supervisor/Registrar at Parallon/HCA in Nashville, TN.

Greg holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Bethel University in McKenzie, TN, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. 

Chief Financial Officer

Shaun Adams has served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Highpoint Health  since January 2019. Adams began his career in 2003 with HCA as a financial auditor where he was instrumental in the leadership of auditing projects and was commended for his high performance. 

In 2009, he advanced to the controller position with University Medical Center.  He then joined Tennova Healthcare-Harton where he served as CFO for seven years before moving to CFO at Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon. 

Shaun’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western Kentucky University. 

Chief Nursing Officer

Danny Edwards began his role as CNO in December 2022 following his position as Assistant Director of Nursing Operations at Highpoint Health. Danny graduated from Motlow State Community College with his Associates Degree in Nursing in 2007. He went on to obtain his BSN at Capella University and is currently working to obtain his MSN with a concentration in nursing administration. Danny has more than 25 years of experience as a healthcare leader with expertise in nursing excellence, operational improvements, physician relations, and driving high-quality care. 

Physician Services Director

Ashley Brock is the Physician Services Director at Highpoint Health Partners  in Winchester, TN where she oversees the overall operations and business processes of more than 50 employed providers. Ashley first joined the team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in 2013 and transitioned to the Director of Imaging in 2016. Ashley attended Wallace State for Radiologic Technology, Chattanooga State for Nuclear Medicine Technology, ETSU for a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health, and WGU for her MBA in Healthcare Administration. Ashley is a leader in the community and serves as a board member for Multi County Cancer Support Network.

Human Resources Director

Lenore Blackwell joined Highpoint Health in October 2019 as the Market Human Resources Director. Lenore has a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and has been in the healthcare HR field for more than thirty years beginning her career with National Medical Enterprises corporate office in Tampa, Florida and later relocated to Tennessee to work with Tennova Healthcare-Harton.

Lenore has been very active in her community and local civic organizations in leadership roles including Chamber President, Rotary President and serving on various Boards.
