March 10, 2026
Winchester, TN – Highpoint Health – Winchester/Sewanee with Ascension Saint Thomas is proud to introduce the latest addition to our therapy service offerings: Rock Steady Boxing, a specialized Parkinson’s disease therapy program.
More than 1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson’s disease, and nearly 90,000 new cases are diagnosed each year. Highpoint Health Therapy Services is committed to supporting these individuals by offering Rock Steady Boxing, an evidence-based exercise curriculum proven to impact Parkinson’s symptoms and help slow disease progression.
Rock Steady Boxing is not traditional boxing - it is a structured, therapeutic exercise program designed specifically to address Parkinson’s symptoms, including slow or small movements, imbalance, stiffness, flexed posture, and respiratory weakness. Through targeted boxing techniques, participants build balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility, empowering them to maintain independence and improve overall quality of life.
“At Highpoint Health, we believe in bringing innovative, patient-centered therapies to our community,” says Adam Martin, CEO. “The addition of Rock Steady Boxing enhances our Therapy Services program and provides meaningful support to individuals living with Parkinson’s disease.”
Highpoint Health Therapy Services remains dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate care for patients across our region. We welcome community members and caregivers to learn more about Rock Steady Boxing and how it may benefit those living with Parkinson’s.
