Community Gathers to Celebrate New Location Names and Signage at Highpoint Health - Sewanee and Highpoint Health - Winchester

Highpoint Health – Sewanee with Ascension Saint Thomas and Highpoint Health – Winchester with Ascension Saint Thomas (formerly Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Sewanee and Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Winchester) highlighted the two locations joining Highpoint Health at a ribbon cutting ceremony and ‘Light the Night’ event. The celebrations, held at the two respective locations, showcased the unveiling and illuminating of new signage.

The ribbon cutting and ‘Light the Night’ events provided an opportunity for the community to gather, hear from hospital leaders about the facilities’ continued commitment to each community, and celebrate the new signs.

“These celebrations were a wonderful way to celebrate being a part of the Highpoint Health family,” said Winchester and Sewanee CEO Adam Martin. “Our teams at Winchester and Sewanee have so much to be proud of and this collaboration allows us to be part of a larger, growing regional network, which will enable us to provide even better care to our community."

Both facilities, a 157-bed facility in Winchester and a 41-bed facility in Sewanee, have already been operating under the new names. However, now both locations feature new signage that reflects their relationship with Highpoint Health, which is a joint venture between Lifepoint Health and Ascension Saint Thomas.

The Highpoint Health system combines the organizations’ clinical excellence, best practices, and talented caregivers, leading to improved access to clinical programs and specialty care for patients and the broader community.
