Every birth experience is unique, and understanding your options can make a big difference. Whether you’re a first-time parent or adding to your family, we provide classes and tools that cover everything from birth planning and pain management to newborn care and postpartum recovery.

We offer a variety of educational opportunities to meet your needs, including:
Classes at Highpoint Health - Sumner
Childbirth Weekly Series - Online - A four week series covering when to come to hospital, pain control options, how to create your birth plan, labor, delivery and newborn care. This class series is the best way to help ease much of the concern associated with having a baby.
Express Childbirth Class - Our Childbirth Weekly Series packed into a one-day class. This class will prepare parents-to-be for pregnancy, labor, delivery and newborn care.
Newborn Care Class - Online - Meant to teach soon-to-be parents what to expect the first few weeks at home with your new baby. Participants will learn skills such as diapering, feeding, burping, bathing and swaddling.
Breastfeeding Basics Class - Online - Taught by our Internationally Board- Certified Lactation Consultant, this class will cover how to latch, position your baby, milk production, pumping, coping strategies and more.
1-on-1 C-Section Prep Class - This class is for mothers expecting to deliver via a C-Section, in order to understand surgery, recovery, self-care for post op and more. This class is offered on an as needed basis, please call 615.328.4262 for more information.
Classes at Highpoint Health – Riverview
Childbirth Class - In order to ease any anxiety you and your partner may be having leading up to the birth of your baby, we offer a childbirth class and tour to prepare you for delivery day. This class is meant to answer all questions you may have, as well as covering topics such as hospital check-in, your stay with us, what to expect, what you should pack for your stay, how long you should anticipate staying and more. This class is offered upon request and scheduled based on a time that works for everyone.
