HIGHPOINT HEALTH SYSTEM ANNOUNCES NEW ADMINISTRATOR
FOR RIVERVIEW REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
Healthcare Executive Jimmy Stuart Named to Lead Carthage Hospitals
Effective February 1, Jimmy Stuart will become the new Administrator of Riverview Regional Medical Center North and South, according to Mary Jo Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of HighPoint Health System.
“We are fortunate to have someone of Jimmy’s capabilities and experience to assume this important leadership position,” said Lewis. “With more than 20 years of operations management experience and a history of serving as an effective advocate for rural health care issues, Jimmy will be a tremendous asset to HighPoint Health System and to Riverview Regional Medical Center.”
For the last eight years, Stuart served as CEO of Parkview Medical Center, a LifePoint-affiliated hospital with 59 beds in Mexia, Texas. While at Parkview, the hospital achieved a notable level of performance in quality measures and in patient, physician and employee satisfaction, a reflection of his effective leadership. Prior to Parkview, he spent three years as the CEO of a rural hospital in Alpine, Texas. Stuart’s wide range of hospital management experience also includes 10 years as CFO of a 300+ bed hospital in Houston, Texas.
While in Texas, Stuart served as an advisory board member for the Office of Rural and Community Affairs (ORCA) and was a former Chairman of the Rural Constituency Group of the Texas Hospital Association and a member of Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals (TORCH). He is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma. He and his wife Paige look forward to relocating to Carthage and becoming actively involved in the community.
